After reading all of that (wow) there is a lot of truth there, however for me buying in these high demand areas is not what I encourage my friends to do. There are hide-aways everywhere, find an affordable retreat which doesn't break the bank. Keep in mind, you may want to purchase toys for the new retreat , a boat, motorcycle, atv, trail bike etc. For me my Lake Front Home never saw the real estate bubble , so never saw the bust. Since I never have any intention to sale the affordable price keeps taxes, insurance and HOA expenses down. That is the recipe of an enjoyable retirement!!!!!!!
