Canine Calm

Harlo is our Australian Shepard rescue dog. She has been transformed from a nervous and scared dog that didn't know what to do with the water to a dog that loves being at the cabin, being on and in the water and most of all, swimming after a ball in the lake! The lake seems to relieve her stress just as it does to us. This picture was taken just before sunset on the pontoon.

We were lucky enough to "spot" this little fawn that was camouflaged by wild blueberry bushes in the Pocono mountains.

Majestic Buck

When the rest of the herd got spooked and ran away, this 10-point buck stayed by the road and munched on the abundant leaves. Before he wandered into the woods out of sight, he turned and posed for this shot.

While driving in Pike County, we spotted a doe and her fawn. The fawn curled up for a short break, and I snapped this picture. Then it got up and bounded off with its mother.

Another wonderful day at the cabin and what better way to wind up the day than cook dinner over the firepit!! A couple of salmon steaks, salad and fresh bread.... Life is beautiful here!!

Another gorgeous day on Lake Erie and I am greeted with a beautiful sunrise and also a view of Junes' super full moon setting off the shore of the lake. I love being at the cabin!

Hello everyone, I'm new here! So I loaded a bunch of pictures to facebook, and it was mentioned that I should come enter this one in the photo contest. So here I am. Great site, glad it was pointed out to me. So in this picture my two daughters teamed up to catch this pike. We were just enjoying a little back woods safari, had a little picnic, and decided to take a few casts in the lake before we headed back out on the trail. The great part about kids and fishing is they are always happy with a catch no matter the size.
