I am putting tongue and grove planking on my vaulted ceiling over the fiberglass batt insulation between the studs. The roof is steel over felt and standard sheeting and there are no soffit or ridge vents. Anyone know if I should or should not put up a vapor barrier before installing the ceiling planking ?The cabin is used as a get away and hunting cabin and only heated when in use. Thanks
I put a vapor barrier over the entire outer shell in my cabin. I used Kraft backed fiberglass insulation and then stapled plastic sheeting over all of the walls and ceilings. I didn't want any air to get in and cause condensation when we heat it in the winter.
Thanks, that's exactly what I have now done with the ceiling.
