In addition to the cards and usual board games, try Farkle and Pokeno. Farkle is a roll the dice, take a risk, and Pokeno is a combo of bingo and poker, by rolling dice. Both are fun for all ages.
Taking care of chess and checkers this year with an 8" Teak Set (King is 8"). Friend is making table board that will fasten and sit atop a whiskey barrel.
We have checkers and chinese checkers boards that we display on the wall. They do double duty.
