says to : " Put a teaspoon of the softened butter in the bottom of four muffin cups (in a 6-cup tin). Sprinkle a little salt and pepper in each and set on the grill over direct heat. As soon as the butter melts, break an egg on top"
are there special grill ready muffin pans or will any muffin pan do?

Hi there! When we made the recipe we used just an ordinary muffin tin. . . nothing fancy! I'm guessing it was about a medium weight tin. It worked great and my kids ask for this ALL THE TIME! Super easy to make too.
