Removable Screens for Screen Porch
Now that we've had some trees removed, we get a lot more wind at the cabin. The wind ripped about six sections of screen on the porch over the winter. My husband wants to make custom-made removable screens for the top portion. (The screening from the railing and below seems to take the wind better and not rip.)
We had "no-see-'em" screening, which keeps out the bite-em-no-see-'ems and is a smaller mesh, which might be why the wind couldn't get through either. Has anyone else made removable screens for their porch or do you keep repairing them from year to year? It seems each section is just a hair different dimension-wise so we'd have to number each section to match it to its appropriate place. So I guess that's our next project, after painting the cellar floor.
