Memorial Day Is Near... And Summer Is Almost Here
Tonight March 13th, at 2AM, clocks in the majority of the country will turn ahead one hour signalling the coming of the spring equinox on March 20th in the Northern Hemisphere. The days continue to grow a little longer allowing the warmth of the sun to warm and melt our frozen lake. Spring rains have started a little earlier this year welcoming the robins and rabbits on their new arrival. The melting snow is all but gone and green lawns and shrubs are visible once again. What is more exciting is the continual countdown to Memorial Day. Memorial Day for many Lake Communities is significant for many reasons. Friends and families begin their weekend migration back to the lake, snowbirds who escaped the cold northern winter return to live in their summer homes and the water activities, barbecues and summer activities begin in earnest. As of today we have only 79 more days till Memorial Day. Memorial Day Weekend finds our home bursting with friends and family as an abundance of food and fun is enjoyed by all. With only 79 days till the summers first holiday weekend the planning and preperation have already begun. Where ever you are I hope you enjoy the coming of summer as much as we do. Memorial Day means .... Summer's Begun, Summer Fun and oh yes all that Summer Sun but don't forget those Summer Nights.
